What began as an idea in 2017 has developed into a non-profit organization providing shelter and caregiving to hospice patients in their final days.
LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care
Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too.
LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care provides a non-medical hospice guest house in Genesee County. We provide food, shelter, comfort, care and companionship. It is a place to call home when extra help is necessary. Our goal is to keep our guests and family members comfortable. Our home and caregiving services are provided at no cost to our guests.

Our Stories…
-
“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my brother Doug during his journey into the next chapter. I sent a few of the things you have on your Amazon wish list. It’s the only way I knew to let you know how much I appreciate everyone who cared for Doug.”
-
I have been wanting to say “Thank you” all for the absolute amazing care you provided Douglas. The Entire staff cared for him as if he were your own family member. Never more than just a step away. Always, kind, gentle, compassionate and tender in their manner. Respectful and sympathetic when communicating with us on things we needed to know.
-
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in the door. It didn’t take long to see how blessed we truly were to have been there. It takes very special people to do what you ladies do. Again, Thank you all so much.
-
Thank you so very much my dear friend had her last days surrounded by family and friends and the utmost compassionate care thank you all
-
“Dale meant so much to our community. He was a very special person. Thank you for caring for him and showing him the absolute best at the end of his life.”
-
Watching the interaction between Douglas and the angels caring for him will never be forgotten. Crystal was with us when he passed. The images of the gentle way she caressed his hand brushed his teeth. Making him as comfortable as possible will be forever in my heart.
