Our Home
Located in Genesee County, LaVigne Home was thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment for individuals receiving hospice care and their loved ones. Every room and gathering space reflects our commitment to comfort, dignity, and connection.
Unlike a hospital or nursing facility, our home offers a peaceful, residential atmosphere where guests and families can focus on spending meaningful time together.
To help ensure a secure and comfortable environment for everyone, the front entrance remains locked at all times, and the property is equipped with security cameras and well-lit outdoor areas. These measures allow guests, families, volunteers, and staff to feel safe and supported while spending meaningful time together.
A Place of Comfort and Compassion
Each of our four private guest rooms is named for a tree, Bonsai, Birch, Pine, and Oak, reflecting the warmth, comfort, and tranquility that define LaVigne Home. Thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming and peaceful, these rooms provide a personal space where guests can rest, receive visitors, and spend meaningful time with loved ones.
Every room includes comfortable seating, such as a recliner or couch, so family and friends can remain close by, whether sharing conversations, quiet moments, or simply being present. Our goal is to create a space that feels less like a facility and more like home, where guests and families can focus on what matters most: being together.
Our Guest Rooms
The Birch Room is named for the birch tree, a symbol of renewal, purification, and new beginnings. Often associated with fresh starts and spiritual rebirth, the birch reminds us of the strength that comes from deep roots and the resilience to grow through life's seasons. Across many cultures, birch branches and twigs have been viewed as symbols of protection, healing, and the ability to weather challenges with grace.
At LaVigne Home, the Birch Room reflects these qualities, offering a peaceful space for rest, reflection, and meaningful moments with loved ones.
The Bonsai Room is named for the bonsai tree, a symbol of balance, harmony, peace, and inner calm. Cultivated with patience and care, bonsai trees are often associated with wisdom gained through experience and the beauty that comes with time. They remind us that growth is not measured by size, but by the strength, character, and resilience developed throughout life's journey.
At LaVigne Home, the Bonsai Room offers a tranquil space where guests and loved ones can find comfort, reflection, and moments of peace together.
The Oak Room is named for the oak tree, a timeless symbol of strength, resilience, wisdom, and enduring stability. With its deep roots and sturdy trunk, the oak represents the ability to remain grounded through life's challenges while continuing to grow and adapt. Known for its remarkable longevity, the oak reminds us that character, wisdom, and beauty are shaped over time through experience and perseverance.
Providing shelter and protection beneath its expansive branches, the oak has long been associated with integrity, steadfastness, and quiet strength.
At LaVigne Home, the Oak room reflects these qualities, offering a comforting space where guests and loved ones can find peace, connection, and support during an important season of life.
The Pine Room is named for the pine tree, a symbol of resilience, longevity, and enduring strength. Remaining green throughout the seasons, the pine represents perseverance, hope, and the ability to thrive even through life's challenges. Across many cultures, it has been associated with wisdom, peace, protection, and forgiveness, earning a reputation as a tree that reflects both strength and serenity.
Often seen as a symbol of healing and renewal, the pine reminds us that growth continues even after difficult seasons. Its upward-reaching branches have long been viewed as a connection between the earthly and the spiritual, offering a sense of comfort, reflection, and peace.
At LaVigne Home, the Pine room embodies these qualities, providing a welcoming space where guests and loved ones can find rest, connection, and quiet strength together.
